Is the BMW i3 worth $41,350?

There have been many discussions on the interwebs about the cost of the i3 since BMW announced pricing a few days ago. As the resident "electric vehicle expert" for BMWBLOG, the editor asked me to offer my thoughts on whether the i3 was worth the price tag BMW put on it or not.
